About Colossal K9

I was born and raised in Canton, OH, and currently reside in Canal Fulton. I attended college at Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA, where I studied psychology. Growing up, I always had multiple animals in my house. However, I took a specific interest in dogs after graduating college. I attended my first training, as a spectator, for police K-9 training, but at the time I just wasn’t sure how to get involved in training dogs.

Fast forward a few years to when I contacted the school I would eventually learn to train at, but became a client first, in hopes of correcting some unwanted behaviors in my dog, Zillo. He had been showing dog aggression and fighting the other dogs in our home. I liked the results so much that I started to ask questions about becoming a trainer myself. With my love for dogs and seeing the complete 180 with my dog, I knew dog training was exactly what I was looking for.

To say the program saved Zillo’s life is an understatement. It is what brought me to be so dedicated to keeping dogs in happy homes and out of shelters or being euthanized. From my experience, I’ve been there on the last option. If I can help keep a dog in a happy home and bring the peace of mind to the owner, then that’s what it is all about. I want to provide the same feeling of comfort, peace, and gratification I had from my personal experience with my dog and the program.

In my spare time, I enjoy staying active. I like working out, playing sports, coaching and running around with my 3 sons, wife or the dogs. I also enjoy watching sports, mainly football
